Re: The reality is that the e-group needs your help

I think this is only the second time I've visited this year; I'm not sure why apart from the fact that I don't seem to have as much spare time as I would like. However, in the past I have found it...

Re: Worth a repair?

To be fair to the actual service centre (and I don't have a problem with the guys in Portugal who do a great job) they itemised every last part they needed. At least 30-40 on my estimate were parts...

Re: Worth a repair?

They won't. Take it from me. I thought my camera was under guarantee (according to the registration page) but it wasn't...and it was made very clear to me that I should have known Olympus only extend...

Re: Worth a repair?

It's just cost me 139.50 to get my EM-1 repaired. That breaks down into 2 hours labour, a circuit board and some replaced bits that don't relate to the fault.

Re: Nisi filter holder and 7-14mm adapter.

Thanks Dave. I saw two different 3D printed adapters for sale; one as a standalone that is supposed to work with the Lee 100 system and one that is sold together with the Nisi holder and kit. The...

Re: Nisi filter holder and 7-14mm adapter.

I wish that I had seen this earlier as I have been looking at this. My only concern was that I had read that it was hard to get Lee filters into the holder. As I would have had to borrow filters (I...

Re: Olympus 50-200 2.8-3.5 Any Version!

Likewise.
I have a mk I 50-200mm which I've been thinking about selling. And a 12-60mm. And the EC-14 converter plus a couple of 4/3 to m4/3 converters (MMF-2). If you or anyone is interested.

Re: Wow EM1 warranty extended to 6 years for free!

I would be cautious about the extended warranty. I'm currently 'in talks' with Olympus over the repair of my camera although they haven't got back to me as promised for almost two weeks.

Long...

Is that the sound of tumbleweed blowing through the forum?!! :)

This was such a popular event three years ago! And it appears I'm the only one going from here this year. No wonder I didn't have a...

Re: 2016 NEC photo show

Andy, I would be able to meet up at some point; 1pm is fine unless the friends I am going up with want to head for lunch at that time. I booked the photoshoot at 2.30pm but other than bookmarking...

Re: 2016 NEC photo show

I booked the photoshoot at 2.30pm in the Hilton....

Re: Lumiere, London 14-17 Jan 2016

I went last night and it was really good although very crowded. With hindsight I would have gone in on my own (I went with the neighbours) and concentrated on the larger exhibits. That said, some of...

Re: Knash! Knash! Grr! Grr! Older age ........

You are not alone John. I bought a secondhand XZ-1 a year or so ago and I won't tell you how long it took me to work out that was how you changed the aperture!
