RAW is just the output from the sensor so has to be "converted" to jpeg before it can be stacked. So the stack is made from the jpeg files.
If you did it yourself in Photoshop, or whatever, you...

Re: Firmware Update

I wrote this for another forum. It isn't really sensitivity, it simply controls the delay before it starts refocussing. +2 means it starts changing focus without delay. Here is the whole story:

I...

Re: Firmware Update

Thought I would test to see if the smaller focus point made a difference. So mounted camera on tripod.

Got a sheet of paper with a small hole in the middle and placed a second sheet about 20cm...

Re: Firmware Update

The 4/3 Rumors website has just said that two sources have confirmed that Olympus will release a new firmware update for the E-M1II on February 28.

One of the sources said that those could be some...

Re: Underwhelming CAF - 9 and 5 point modes

I've been doing some more checks of the CAF on 5/9 point modes after discussing it with someone over at DPreview forums. It appears that despite the single static indication of what appears to be...

Re: Amish Family group, Niagara Falls, Canada.

Nice shot and only the pushchair shows it was taken in the last 50 years. The mono works for me.

Re: Amish Family group, Niagara Falls, Canada.

Fantastic shot Mac, and can only be a B/W.

Re: MC-1.4 Converter

It is also possible hat the lens locking pin on the camera is not coming fully out with the TC in place. Maybe the recess in the TC is just a bit too small. The locking pin triggers a switch that...

Re: Quick custom setting for "IS off"

I have assigned C2 for BIF, it has IS off and it works as intended except with the 300 F4 where the IS switch overrides the camera settings and has to be turned off separately. And switched back to...
