Re: Go wild with an olympus!

with the exception of a weasel an stoat that proved harder to keep up with than anything previously attempted (think shooting wrens in flight at 10ft!) it wasn't really an action environment!

Re: Focal length conundrum

unless you put the camera on a tripod and leave it there it's really easy to 'adjust' the working distance when changing lenses - the natural reference on close up shots is the front lens element...

Re: How do I over or under expose with Auto ISO

don't stop dreaming Ross!

personally I would have thought that simply using the read dial (thumb) whilst the EV button is pressed and held (forefinger) would be the simplest, and most consistent,...

Re: Olympus Image Share App.

IR (RM-!) won't work as there's no IR sensor, but we have WiFi.... will check HDR via OIShare in a moment, when I can...

Re: Customising HDR bracketing options

I don't have a gap of 2 or 3 in HDR 1, more like 4 @ 1EV

HDR 2 is probably 4 @ 2EV

Then you have 3, 5 7 @ 2EV or 3 5 @ 3EV selectable

Or anything you want shooting M via the dials

The...

Re: Next Year's lens releases

one is f3.5 - f4.5 - original 43 lens
the next is f4 - f5.6 - later 43 lens with CDAF compatability (v light and hugely underrated) focuses OK on the E-M1 but not as well as....

Re: E-M1 cabaret stage lighting help...

it must just be me but I don't understand the concept of concerns over 'how grainy' an image file might be.

if the exposure's wrong it's going to end up more grainy through adjustment

if the...

Re: The importance of Sequential+IS Off

if I want IS off for Seq shooting I turn...

fwiw

the dof for the group of snowdrops (associated with your framing) is great

the blurryness is bang on

the dominance of the background is mainly the size/scale and lack of detail/interest...
