Re: Free 1yr Sandisk RescuePro deluxe subscription

Hi Wee man - only too pleased to find a good and needy home for it.

It worked wonders for me and my friend, so I hope it does the same for you.

Re: Interesting thought, "Mirrorless cross-dressers"

I don't have "very large hands" or "wear gloves" and like Angela (who presumably is a female reviewer and not a mirrorless cross dresser) - it is an issue for some people.

Not experiencing the...

Re: Interesting thought, "Mirrorless cross-dressers"

By coincidence, I picked up a copy of the May edition of "Digitial Camera" today.

Inside it has a review of the E-5 MkII by Angela Nicholson.

The camera is awarded "Editors Choice" and is...

Re: Interesting thought, "Mirrorless cross-dressers"

I still have an Olympus iS- 3000 film camera which had a unique sculpted shape in its day.

From the user guide:- "The unique shape offers several advantages...it has an S-wrap film loading system...

Re: Interesting thought, "Mirrorless cross-dressers"

The author clearly stated that "a certain size and weight are...

Re: Interesting thought, "Mirrorless cross-dressers"

The author clearly stated "I never argued that a mirrorless camera should be small and light, for the sake of being so. A certain size and weight are necessary for a number of reasons"

SLR's and...

Re: Interesting thought, "Mirrorless cross-dressers"

I entered the MFT world a couple of years ago with a Panny G3 and now use an E-M1 for a lot of my personal work.

I am happy with the "toys" and extras in the mirrorless designs but my one...

Re: Blank Live View on EM1 - help

Which lens are you using Dave?

If it's the 12-40mm check the manual focus ring on the lens barrel hasn't been moved - I've knocked mine a couple of times when putting the camera away.

A good...

Re: Shutter count saved anywhere?

Brilliant - thank you very much indeed for the information. I bought mine new and it has had a lot of faultless use in 9 months and I was curious as to how many times I had released the shutter in...

Re: Clarkson's contract not to be renewed

I don't like Clarkson but I do admire him for speaking up tonight for the producer and accepting that the producer was "not to blame" for his departure from TG.

Re: Clarkson's contract not to be renewed

Yes, I wonder what the period of grace is before a person who loses his temper, uses obscene swear words to insult colleagues and threatens and hits a junior member of staff, can be allowed back...

Re: Clarkson's contract not to be renewed

It was a brave decision by the Beeb but Clarkson brought all this crashing down on his own head.

Things change. I will look forward to a new and revised TG.

TG will evolve and move on - it's...

There are some 10 year olds in Portsmouth that could demonstrate how to break into cars.

As they travel round the country in caravans TG could follow them and do a feature on a city by city...

Re: NO TOP GEAR - This Sunday...

Sadly we have been driven to it by the blustering oafs - shouting at people that H&S is stupid and that they will look where they are going and will be careful where they tread etc etc.

We have...

Re: NO TOP GEAR - This Sunday...

Partial Solar Eclipse over Portsmouth shadow movie

With solid cloud cover over Portsmouth I thought I'd try the time lapse on the E-M1 to see what the results were like.

90 minutes compressed into 15 seconds by the in camera timelapse feature.
