Wonderful shots Dave. I have got some Hardy Plumbago in my garden too. I have seen loads of butterflies on it but no Hummingbird Hawk Moths.

The moth's body reminds me of a furry lobster, not that I've ever seen a furry lobster :)

An excellent set.

They seem to prefer permanent water and are the last of the genus to emerge.
