Re: Audio Hiss EM-5 MK2 - Gain control?

Mains hum on your hifi has to do with two things. One: In one of two systems with each mains connected is the transformer reversed wired. Turn the plug in the mains outlet if that is possible (two...

Re: Why getting it right in-camera is always best.

Unsharpening is an other process with a different outcome then soft images from camera. I have to add that I always shoot jpg and very occasionally raw. The reason is that with raw you are depended...

Re: Missing icons on EM1 mk2

Always format card in the camera, fat isn't so universal as it looks, special then when it can't use big floppy format ie 8Gb cards and up.

Re: Why getting it right in-camera is always best.

I don't agree with Michael Snedic. Its better not to have tack sharp pictures from your camera. You can always sharpening a picture afterwards, but you never can unsharpen a picture. If you have to...

Re: Back again

I can still run my eComStation (OS/2) on modern hardware, but it must have a Bios. Motherbords without it need a different set of drivers which are in eComStation 2.1x and up and in ArcaOS. But it is...

Re: AF - EM1 Mark ii and 300 pro lens

You shot the picture with f5.6, that's way too wide open for this distance with this kind of lens. Yes it is 300mm, but that's 600mm for 36mm full frame. You need at least f8.0 and may be even one...

Re: Back again

You're going the wrong way, your list is way too short and I don't understand legacy apps, when is something legacy? There are lots of users who build applications today, counts that as legacy?

Re: Back again

Thanks Phill.
Bought the E-1 second hand. Reason to step in was lenses going up from 7mm all the way up to 200mm without hole's. All serious lenses well build, dust and splash proof which is...

Re: Back again

I do, because I thought we are talking about photography instead of OS systems.

That one is wrong too, OS/2 was never dead in the first place, but we get used to it that lots of people want it...

Re: Back again

Gents, can we ditch the OS war and other jokes around it? The name OS/2 belongs to IBM, it is still maintained. I work with eComStation which does have an OS/2 kernel and some other programs still...

Re: Back again

As you could read in my first message I do have a Mac, an I-Mac to be precise. That is basically a Linux system. And when you used to what OS/2 does then that system sucks. I'm the one who controls...

Re: Back again

Thanks, well likewise Windows or Apple, the Operating System does only sees files at best. There are enough programs for OS/2 which can do something with image files, but they are not Photoshop ;-)....

Back again

Hello,
I'm Joop. Some years ago I did "photoshopped" an E-7 on my computer. But with the introduction of the E-M1 it was clear that it would stay a dream. The E-M1 was not for me, too small and I...

Re: End of E system ?

There will be an E-7 but they are unsure about the E-9. It greatly depends how fast they are going with the mirrorless system. For some reason the mirror seems to be not good enough anymore. However,...

Re: The WORST thing about E-5 is

For those who want to separate RAW from JPEG. There is no way that with an software update that we get the function RAW drive A, JPEG drive b. I get this out of the experience of users who copy from...

Re: E3 problem

You have to format the cards in the camera, don't do anything in Windows then only copying to a folder. Also deleting in camera is better than deleting by Windows. The reason for this is that (small)...

Re: Is this a problem on my E3?

Sorry to say, but I really don't understand users here. Every E-3 does have guarantee and as we life in Europe this means two years. So why not send it in with the complaint? At the phone they can't...

Re: Anyone printed out Wrotniak's E3 article?

Put all the articles about the E-3 together with a cover and an index. Did it with OS/2-eCS and FireFox 3.0. Now I have a pdf, there is only one but....its 44Mb+ and 118 pages.
