Re: Thoughts on this shot would be much appreciated

When i first saw this, i was of the opinion that Iit needed a crop off the top and the bottom. However, looking at it again ithink Iit is just about fine as it is as it gives more of an expansive...

Re: Thoughts on this shot would be much appreciated

I hadn't really considered the frame.

Re: Thoughts on this shot would be much appreciated

I think the shot is excellent, and would have it on my wall !

Suggestions - I'm with Alf on the framing: the frame "on the wall" will ultimately depend on other pictures in the vicinity. "On...

Re: Thoughts on this shot would be much appreciated

Re: Thoughts on this shot would be much appreciated

Well, that just shows how personal image interpretation is.

For my taste (emphasis added), I found the 'blackness' right at the bottom a bit too dominating. I 'got' the intention - i.e. to lead...

Re: Thoughts on this shot would be much appreciated

I think Geeewar has the balance correct. If you lift the foreground it becomes too dominant and in your face. At the moment there is a slight emphasis in the central part of the picture and this...

Re: Thoughts on this shot would be much appreciated

Beautiful atmospheric image, nice work and presentation.

Personal choice I would lighten the foreground to lead the viewer into the picture plus crop some from the bottom and a shade less from the...

Re: Thoughts on this shot would be much appreciated

A great shot but with about a crop of about third off the top and a third off the bottom, wow!

Re: Thoughts on this shot would be much appreciated

I like this a lot. Is it looking towards the Isle of May?

The one comment that I have is that the foreground seems slightly out of balance with the remainder of the image (too dark). Maybe just...
