I increment the leading character each year (sometimes sooner if I take a lot of pictures) the two cameras each have a unique leading character.

Gimp would be a good way to teach him the aspects of light and dark, intensity, shade etc. There are some books on using Gimp see Amazon / Alibris for new and secondhand sources

Doing a copy from camera to computer risks the laptop or camera being dragged onto the floor when the first device is accidentally knocked onto the floor.

Where to host pictures etc

For many years I have been using the Easily web space to host my images for sharing along with other miscellaneous data, I store most images in folders on the "server", I also store html structures...

You need to have a Smart TV ie one with Apps eg the Amazon PrimeApp etc, or an Amazon Fire receiver that connects to your internet connection to talk to the Amazon Prime streaming service....
