Re: Betoota - Population: 0

What an impressive series, Larry. Not easy to shoot such successful images of bugger all, as it were! I like you compositions throughout. You have captured the essence of outback Australia.

Re: Fan Foel (Black Mountain)

There are some very smooth flowing lines in your landscape, Mark, and you've made the most of them in a well balanced composition.

Re: Reflections in the early morning light.

That is one very classy shot there, Larry. I like the way you caught the sun kissed treetops, and even a duck or two
So can we look forward to seeing a few romantic wedding shots after the...

Re: Port Talbot Steel works

An interesting and well composed industrial pano there, Mark - you even got the wind blowing in the right direction ... now that takes the real skill of a yachtsman!

Re: A Flighty Grey Fantail bird.

Nice of the Fantail Ross. The BIF might have benefitted from a faster shutter than 1/250.

Re: Fire Juggler

That's a great set, OM, the guy has a spectacular act by the looks. A video of it would have been cool (hot) too!

One of these days he'll set his hair on fire!

Re: Looking for Love

I'm envious Ron, I've been trying for ages to capture sparrows or other small birds perched precariously on pampas grass like that.
Pampas grass is prolific in the nearby creek, I always just...

Re: Quick grab shot

Phill, why would you need to get rid of the soft edge effect, it's a part of the overall soft effect of the flower that only accentuates the sharpness of the bee. It's a damned good grab shot, it is...

Re: Astro Photos

Astrophotography fascinates me, Dave. Unfortunately at 83 going on 84, I've left it a bit late to invest in kit to bring the galaxy within my reach.
Anyway, I guess it won't be all that long before...

Re: Flowers at Blue Mountains Botanic Garden, Mt Tomah.

Nice to see such a variety of protea in perfect bloom there Ross. I've never seen the white variety, and I like your BIF.
I may have to make another visit to the Blue Mountains at some time; sadly...

Re: Two from 2011

What effective camouflage the leaf butterfly has. Not bad at all for 2011, Barrie, but no match for your M1X, I daresay ... :D
