Re: Luminar 3

Thanks for that, it looks as though it might do the job. . .

I am off into hospital today, but I will try it when I get back.

Re: Luminar 3

I can understand that you would need LR + PS for astrophotography, but I do not need it for the stuff I do. I am still working through Luminar 3, it just took me half an hour to find where...

For a long time now I have had a subscription Adobe Creative Cloud. I use LR for initial PP and finish the images off in Photoshop.

Re: Lifes Milestones. . .

I wondered if it might be possible to rent a garage or parking space in Macclesfield, but a quick look suggested that the 700 would be a cheaper option.

Then I wondered if it might be possible to...

Lifes Milestones. . .

Funny how officialdom likes to remind you every now and then that the know about you.

When I got to my 65th birthday I got a letter from Visa to tell me that my free life assurance, in the...

Re: Lumix 7-14 f4

Thanks for that! There is a solution for the problem that I did not know that I had.

It certainly does not happen all the time, and it is often fairly slight, and can be fixed in LR simply by...

The weather was rather gloomy today and my wife was entertaining some Lady friends, so I took myself off the the NRM at Shildon.

This is a good place to use my Panasonic 7-14 f4.

Before going...

Re: Painted Lady

Stephen,

Yesterday I got two more shots of the Painted Ladies and uploaded them to my stock site.

Same butterfly but on different backgrounds.

It is grey and dull today and only spotted one...

Re: Painted Lady

Still a few in my garden today and we saw more today in a village in the North York Moors. No more clean shots like the one I did yesterday.

The TV documentary about them is still available on...

Painted Lady

I was very much taken by a TV programme on BBC4 called: The Great Butterfly Adventure: Africa to Britain with the Painted Lady.

I have been looking out out for them and had a first sighting in...

Re: What are these bugs??

Point taken, "bugs" really suggests multiple software malfunctions.

I put the main image on my Stock Photography site, but described them as "pollinators" rather than bugs.

I am still looking...

Re: What are these bugs??

Thanks Stewart, Hoverflies is a good start for me.

However searching for the particular species, with black yellow and white bars is proving elusive.

This link gives a large number of UK...

What are these bugs??

Recently I was in the Helmsley Walled Garden when, as one does, I did some shots of the Sunflowers.

Hard to get an arrangement without damaged blooms, but I did get this:

Bits and Bobs eh?

That set me thinking, what are these B&B's and do I ever use them?

Since giving up my day job in 2004, I have been busying myself with stock photography. So far it has...

Re: Windows 10 raw image viewer

Richard,

Besides my proper computers I have a 10" tablet by Terra. Until last week it had a removable keyboard, but now that does not work any longer. It has 27GB free of 57GB.

It is...

Re: Adobe LR - no more updates - options?

Until 2009 I did all my post processing on an old version of Photoshop.

Then I bought an EP-1, and found that the only way I could deal with the *.ORF files was to buy Lightroom 3. The old...

Re: Adobe LR CC

I used to use only PS and ACR, but I got a nasty shock when I got my first m4/3 camera, an E-P1, in about 2009. The files from my E5 were *.ORF and opened OK in ACR. The files from the E-P1 were...
