Re: Worth a repair?

It's just cost me 139.50 to get my EM-1 repaired. That breaks down into 2 hours labour, a circuit board and some replaced bits that don't relate to the fault.

Re: Cheap, unbranded MMF copy adaptors?

I have a cheap adapter for the old Olympus mount lenses to micro four thirds....it is currently stuck on a lens and I have not been able to get it off.... (although I have had the offer of help from...

Re: Viewfinder eye cup

I used a glue dot on my EM-5 to hold a broken one in place. It worked quite nicely and was easily removable when it came to replacing it with a new one....which still comes off every time I put it in...

Re: Football

Over the years I've taken photos of my daughter playing football; its a lot harder than it looks. I would second all of what John has said. I had to ramp the ISO up to keep a high shutter speed but I...

Re: Video on the EM-1

I was told on a FB Group that the maximum time was 30 minutes, or just under maybe? I don't know myself personally but I was looking to video an event later this month.

Re: The Photography Show - NEC March

The 40-150 pro was £1250 including the 1.4 teleconverter. Without I heard it was £999 so £300 off. I thought that was pretty good. CW had the EM-5ii as Mark said, body only £849, £999 with the 12-50...

Re: 14-150 m.zuiko

It is the perfect lens for days out, holidays etc as it is lightweight, small for what it is and covers pretty much any scenario. It's not the sharpest lens especially at the edges but for record...

Re: Back by popular demand: The Circus (free tickets to be won)

If you are driving, take them all!

My friend came with me last year and she is a Canon user so I don't think anyone will mind the Tamron lens :) There were quite a few Canon and Nikon users there...

Re: Back by popular demand: The Circus (free tickets to be won)

John, could you get over to Watford? If so I can drive you down there. It would be nice to catch up again!

Likewise Stephen, if you would like a lift, I am more than happy to take you as well. If...

Re: The Milky Way and a shooting star

Beautiful photos. I'm always amazed at how full of stars the sky is when photographed. With the naked eye and living so close to Watford (and London) I'm lucky if I see even the most obvious...

Re: "Big Stopper" long exposures on EM-1

I use the big stopper on the EM-1. I usually just experiment for exposure times. I'm no expert at this and often get it wrong but this is how I go about it...

I use S-AF to focus then change to MF...

Re: How are you getting on using 4/3 lenses on E-M1

I use the 50-200 (non SWD) and the 12-60 with my EM-1 and like them both very much. I do use the grip with both though, so really echoing what others have said. I think I will also be taking the...

Re: Lock up today

It locked up again this morning, 3 or 4 times? Again I had continuous shooting (low) set and manual focus. I've not got to grips with C AF so don't use it. I also used single shot and I am pretty...

Re: Kristiansund - Norway

Beautiful photos, especially 3 and 4. I think I almost prefer the 'blue' hour to the 'golden' hour although 5 is fab.

Not sure about 4am though....:)

Re: Can you recommend a cheaper BLS-5 battery?

I use Ex-Pro batteries for my EM-1 and 5; both chipped and unchipped and they are fine. I can charge their chipped ones in both their unchipped charger and the Olympus one which is useful. I think I...

Re: More on Polarizing Filters

I use a polariser for landscape; I don't have one for my 12-60 as yet but I do for my other lenses. I've found it makes a big difference. I also use Lee's Seven5 filters but unfortunately don't have...
