Re: Age-Related Difficulties

My partner and myself use 'Pharmacy2u' and they get delivered to our door. It works very well for repeat prescriptions.

Re: Walking boots

(A lot of very expensive boots recommended here!)

What do other walkers do when fording a river with a heavy backpack? I take my socks off but keep my boots on and drain them out on the other...

Re: Panorama Trials and Tribulations (warning very wide images)

Re: Upcoming Exhibition

IMO she looks hideous with those eyes. She'd scarcely look worse if her nose had been cut off!

I wonder what precautions the tattooist takes when tattooing eyes? About once a month I go to...

Re: Spittle of Glen Muick

Looks like Lochnagar in the background centre. That's one that I've not 'done', and in my opinion is the best of the bunch.

Re: Walking boots

The best pair of boots I've bought were Hi-Tec ones. IIRC they cost around £50. However, I backpacked for 10 days through the Cairngorms in a pair of Aldi walking shoes costing £12 and they were very...

Re: Betoota - Population: 0

I guess that the truck was overloaded by adding a crate of sherry for the ladies!

Re: Betoota - Population: 0

The town taxi looks a bit rough!

I hear that you've got a severe drought there, with rivers drying up.

Red face Re: New territory for me - E-M1 shutter stuck!

After visiting Luton, go on for a few miles to the tiny village of Hexton (on the road to Hitchin). There's a delightful tea room there. We sometimes travel from Watford just to go to visit it.

Re: Many gifts for her!

I'd get a smack in the teeth if I proffered a broken plastic clothes peg to my partner as a gift! ;)

Fantastic to get such an exotic and iconic bird in your garden, Ross!

Re: An expensive “Hobby”

I would think so. You wouldn't get good external ballistics with any metal less dense.

I used to reload 9mm Parabellum and cast the bullets. Pure lead is too soft and causes feed problems, so tin...

Re: An expensive “Hobby”

I was recently looking at the current cost of 100 rounds of 0.22 target ammunition, I used to buy at 8 shillings and six pence in the late 60s. It's now £23.50!

Re: As Legend Has It

We get wallabies in zoos over here (and escapees in the wild), but I've never seen a grey or red kangaroo. I wonder if they are too difficult to keep in captivity?
