Re: Panorama Trials and Tribulations (warning very wide images)

So my simple pano was just 6 shots. These 6 in fact. The overlap was only about 25% so I had nothing to discard and had to use the middle 50% of each shot. Images 2 and 3 clearly show how turning the...

Re: Panorama Trials and Tribulations (warning very wide images)

Re: Spittle of Glen Muick

Wow. Stunning images (all of them) but if I had to pick just one (hard, I know) it would be #4 from post 1 but this is just pipped by the image in post 7.

Panorama Trials and Tribulations (warning very wide images)

Snowdonia Panorama:

I was never really happy with the Olympus panorma function. It worked but I did not like the results. It always looked like the end result was "curved" in some way and that...

Re: Portugal servicing

I have found the repair service (12-40mm lens intermitant sticking at 40mm and sounding loose and floppy inside) fast and fair. However I find "fixed" is not an adequate enough description to let me...

Re: Bugingham Palace.............:-)

We do try and keep some nice undisturbed log piles in our garden for the bugs but our efforts are more your youth hostel than this elegent building.

What's not to like Alf - its outstanding. I could not bring to mind the descriptive adjective I was looking for but I think Phil got it right comparing it to a painting. The colours are rich and deep...

Fine landscapes Mark and very pleasing to see. Of course you have to know when and where to push the button and your judgement was not wrong.

Gleneagles Station

Gleneagles railway station is very picturesque. It retains the old cast iron deatils and supports; the brickwork is kept clean, the paintwork is in keeping, and the gardens are neat and tidy. What...

Re: New territory for me - E-M1 shutter stuck!

I did initially think of a "blower brush" but thought that might not be enough to make a difference. Thanks for the advice not to use compressed air. I had not thought about propellent and assumed it...
