Re: Plan B

Thanks Phill,

There'll be some great opportunities in the peaks over the next couple of months. Apart from it being the main inversion season, there will be autumn colour soon - I'm thinking...

Re: E620

There are external backup drives that you can put a memory card into and it will download the cards contents onto the drive. Perhaps one of those could then connect to your device?

Re: A week in Cornwall

Thanks Steve, it is a great area for seascapes.

Just looked at your shot from here on your website. You had a much nicer sky than I did! Not sure if it's just because of the low tide, but yours is...

Re: A week in Cornwall

Thanks Dave. I don't know what I was thinking - editing late at night with lager in hand, probably doesn't help;) When I looked this morning I knew i had to redo it.

Re: A week in Cornwall

I've replaced the image (Sunday morning) as I really didn't like the processing on the first version. It was much too dark and dull. I'm aware of my tenancy to process on the dark side, and try to...

Re: Third party battery failure for OM-D EM5 II

I looked this up recently as I have a couple of spares from my old camera that I don't need. As I recall, new batteries in their original packaging can be posted, so it's ok buying new ones....

Re: I'm conflicted!

Yes it's the hld-8g without the battery section. It obviously adds the bulk of the hand grip, with the benefit of a working button/dial, but only adds about 1cm to the height of the body. Weight...

Re: I'm conflicted!

I have the 5mkii with 12-40 and would say it's definitely usable without a grip.... But.... It's significantly better with the grip. It doesn't add much weight or bulk either (just grip not a battery...

Re: Ball head, bit of a different brand

The Dorr one comes with both options as standard, you can rotate the whole head or just the clamp. The benefit of the latter is that you don't need the tripod to be perfectly level, just the clamp...
