Re: Boris Gate

I chose old links deliberately, as I'm sure you'd sussed. ;)
I would contend that both persons mentioned were genuinely, arguably for good reasons, fairly staunchly remain at the time; they then...

Re: External SSD drive

Yes you're quite correct; I hadn't realised the time of day when I posted and had to curtail as I was due out for lunch.

There are a number of "go-faster" stand-alone utilities which some folks...

Yes, my following comments are very much about Boris (and Mr Cummings in the background)

I'd suggest that an election would only restore some semblance of democracy if, unlike the referendum, iton...

Re: DXO Photolab 3

I got the notification last night, but haven't upgraded yes, as I want to do a system backup first.
I certainly will upgrade though, as I've been using Photolab since its inception and DxO Optics...

Re: Motorway Brexit signs.

The cost for Smart Motorways runs at 4 1/2 to 9 million pound per mile. See HERE (https://publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm201617/cmselect/cmtrans/63/6306.htm)

I'm deliberately bringing this back...

Re: Olympus Air A01

A bit like this you mean?
An old Soviet Zenit Fotosnaiper gunstock, with a home made Arca style clamp; seen here fitted with an E-M1 Mk2. 300mm F4 and a Red Dot Sight.
I never did have the 300mm...

Re: Olympus developing a new 500mm lens?

A friend of mine has just been in almost exactly that position, though with Canon in his case.
He traded in both the body and the Tamron and bought an E-M1 Mk2 plus 300mm F4 and 1.4TC. I think he's...

Re: Tax Free Purchases from the EU?

Looks a good trip, I hope you enjoy it.
I've taken the Panasonic 14-140 + 100-300mm on a few trips, which seems to cover most things apart from weatherproofing, slipping in the tiny 14 + 20mm...
