Re: So, who wants to recommend me a Flash?

Godox all the way.... plenty options and work exceptionally well. A TT350o if you want small and light and don't need so much power. TT685o if you want larger and more powerful.

I've got the...

Re: February Challenge: Portrait

It was nothing fancy. One 6' x 4' pop up double sided black/white background about 1m behind her. Single Yongnuo YN-560 III manual flash in a brolly box to the left and above. E-M1 (Mk1) with Olympus...

Re: A year on

Welcome back. I too have been through periods of not picking up the camera. For me it's usually a time issue. Too busy at work. Family issues. Lengthy daily commute. Jobs around the house needing...

Re: 12-40mm Pro

You're about an hour too late!! I just arranged to exchange my 75mm for Paul's 12-40mm in the other sale thread. Unbelievable..... sorry, Alan, although exchanging rather than just buying did save me...

Re: Quality flash without breaking the bank

The YN-560's are great, but bear in mind they are manual only, so no TTL. I'd probably go for a Nissin i40 (TTL) if you had some cash but didn't want to spend big bucks..... the size of the i40 is in...

Re: 45mm f1.8 Question.

You'll get a JJC hood for about 12 on fleabay; am not sure if there's any other options apart from the (very pricey) Oly original hood...... it's a great little lens. Pin sharp.

Re: Is the 17mm f1.8 a good buy?

I wouldn't rule out A Panasonic 14mm F2.5 either if I were you.... very much underrated due to some of the more exotic (and hugely more expensive) glass overshadowing it. It weighs about the same as...

Re: E-M5 now or wait?

You can get the OM-D to do a simulated focus peaking using the art filters, I think this is what the OP was asking about.........

1. Go to Menu 1, set Picture mode to Art Filter 11, set Type to II...
