This forum has 317 active members with FTU currently having 49 and the OS being in the process of...

Re: I'm working on this site's sibling...

I totally agree with your comments about the layout of FTU being inferior to this site. However, it's just a change we have to get used to.

I think the problem is, the software previously powering...

Re: I'm working on this site's sibling...

Where did I make that suggestion ?

If you read my post correctly you will see ...... "Where any forum allows access to non-members, however limited"

This forum allows limited access...

Re: I'm working on this site's sibling...

Even if Phill was not logged into FTU as a member, surely his observations are still valid and worthy of consideration. Where any forum allows access to non-members, however limited, it needs to have...

Re: I'm working on this site's sibling...

My method when downloading any non specialised software intended for general public usage is to play around with it for a while without referring to any instructions or "help" files. If I find I can...

I don't think you're missing anything Phill, many others have the same opinion including myself. However we do need to master it *yes For better or worse, that confusing version of Vbulletin is...

Re: I'm working on this site's sibling...

What a coincidence, that's exactly what I said to Mrs. Jax the other evening.

Her reply was " Would you like to try something you've never done before ? "

Putting on my biggest smile I said "...

Re: I'm working on this site's sibling...

As this is an annoying issue that has been occurring for a long time now with no signs of improvement, perhaps it may be worth considering hiring an independent Professional IT Consultant to resolve...

Re: I'm working on this site's sibling...

Thanks Ian. I have not experienced any more Gateway Timeouts since the 30 min one this morning. Fingers crossed :)

Just for interest, when you refer to PhotoPost, does this in effect mean the...

Re: I'm working on this site's sibling...

For me, it's primarily a morning issue 8 to 10am but does occur much less frequently at other times of the day.

Re: I'm working on this site's sibling...

FTU seems to work fine now from a Guest's point of view on Firefox...

Re: I'm working on this site's sibling...

Given the FTU software update has been in progress for 2 yrs or more, ""the future" could be some distance away. Maybe better to let Ian concentrate on the job in hand which is perfecting the sibling...

Re: I'm working on this site's sibling...

I don't use either Twitter or Facebook for a variety of reasons. Anything that increases the site traffic and generates more interest in the 3 sites has to be a worthwhile addition. Personally I fail...
