Re: Venomous Snake Show (lots of photos).

We've only got three snakes in mainland U.K. (there are none in Northern Ireland, and none in Ireland). Only one, the Adder is venomous.

I like snakes!

Re: Vegetarian joke

I remember reading that you can see the stars during the day, from the bottom of a well. Perhaps you can confirm?

Re: Life saving app...

I downloaded the app a year or so ago and was impressed, but since then I've not used it and deleted it!

Re: Free software?

He probably ought to avoid raw, in which case Faststone is by far the best bet (I don't think that it handles raw files.

Re: Jensen Interceptor

'Wikipedia-ing' shows that it used a 'sprag' clutch. The Westland Wessex helicopter used two Gnome H1200s gas turbines coupled to a common gearbox with sprag clutches. There was a strict procedure...

Re: Jensen Interceptor

In real terms petrol was never 'dirt cheap'. I friend of mine had a Jaguar 3.8 in the 60s, but got rid of it because of the fuel costs.

I thought that VW only 'cheated' on the emissions of diesel...

Re: Big news in the press re Safari amateur photographers

There's some wonderful VR panoramas on this site:

Re: Do We Rely Too Much on Electricity?

The reservoir drains into Loch Awe. I remember some years ago driving around the loch, and at one point there was a notice that it was straight into 600 feet of water off the edge! I found it quite...

Re: Opinions on Sony WF-1000X In-Ear Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones

Thanks for the replies.

I've gone off the Sony's. There are an awful lot of 'like new' ones on Ebay, which suggest that there are a lot of returns and user dissatisfaction. I also share Mark's...

Re: Opinions on Sony WF-1000X In-Ear Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones

Re: Third party batteries for the EM1ii (and EM1X)

I've got a pair of Xiaomi Redmi earbuds that were...
