How to upload photos to this site

Is there an Idiot's Guide somewhere on how to get photos onto this site? I've managed it in the past a time or two, as I entered one of the monthly competitions, and I also have a couple of albums,...

Re: Photography in Public Places

Actually things seem to be moving against photographers' rights in this country, based on at least two trends.

Firstly a more recent update than some of the guidance that has been posted above is...

Re: A few Hours in London

Wonderful. You got some great viewpoints and compositions. (You also had some high viewpoints for some). I find the first and last ones particularly appealing.

Re: Slimming down - gauging interest...

wow - that's a surprise. Not sure what will be left after such a slimming.

I've always been intrigued by the 75mm /1.8. Like to give me a clue on price? By PM if you prefer …

Re: panasonic lenses

The Panasonic Lumix and Panasonic Leica lenses generally work well, and functions like manual focusing using the ring work well (even though nowadays this is generally implemented as "focus by wire"...

Can this price be for real?

Grey import I imagine, but even so, less than half the best price on Camera Price Buster (and less that someone is trying to sell a used one for here)

Re: Someone got a good deal!

Found a buyer for my HLD-9 without trying (a wanted ad here). I didn't use it until testing it before sending. HLD-7 seems to have low value nowadays. And I don't really need the extra EM-1. I'm not...

Re: Olympus Zuiko 12-40mm f2.8 pro lens

About to send PM

ETA Sorry for delay. PM sent now. 12-40 Pro is stunning lens, but now I have 12-100 Pro I don't use the 12-40 much. (Tend to go for primes in low light)

Re: Sigma 150mm Macro Lens 4/3 fit.

I agree. Mine is superb for image quality, whether used as macro or as general purpose telephoto. Works well with EC-14 too, and even EC-20. AF isn't the quickest (not an issue for macro as most...

Re: Hld 9

I have a used one which I have never used. It came bundled with a used E-M1 ii. Full working order. What sort of price are you looking to pay? Used ones seem to go for around 120-140 on Ebay. (PM...

Re: WARNING: E-M1 Camera body eyelet has come away from camera body!

Yes - mine was done free of charge earlier this year too, despite being old, having been acquired second- (or more-) hand and being well out of any warranty.

Re: Panasonic Leica 200mm

There's always the MMF-3.

(And if adapter + Little Tuna is prohibitively expensive, the Sigma 150mm f/2.8 macro is a fine general purpose telephoto lens, though perhaps AF is too slow for some...

Re: LCE em1x

this is going over old ground again, but from the discussions I've read here and elsewhere, I think the E-M1X is not aimed at existing M43 users. It is aimed at 35mm SLR users who shoot sports,...

Re: OMD + 12-100 an overpriced bridge camera?

Great points.

As far as I'm aware the biggest sensor on a bridge camera is 1 inch / 20MPixel, and 4/3rds is over 75% larger (though still 20 MPixel). I'm guessing this is also significant.

Re: OMD + 12-100 an overpriced bridge camera?

My response was "more highly priced and also more highly specified than a bridge camera".

But it's an interesting point, given that some people say how rarely they switch to another lens.

OMD + 12-100 an overpriced bridge camera?

I read elsewhere, contentiously:

"An OMD with the 12-100 lens is effectively an over-priced bridge camera".

As they say in exam papers, "discuss". :-)

Re: Best 25mm choice

Bit too late, but also worth considering if you can be a bit flexible on focal length is Sigma 30mm f/1.4
