Re: Leaked - EM5 mklll

At least this looks to be an answer to all those people complaining that Oly had abandoned its roots by not producing small cameras any more. It remains to be seen what they'll say about the cost, of...

Love it, thanks!
I owned one back in the mists of time, but traded it for other things ages ago.

Re: E-M1(ii) silver edition or Mk3?

The posts above seem to have covered most of the bases, but another suggestion might be to get a second-hand M1i or ii now. That way you'd lose less money when/if the iii of your dreams appears.

Re: Portugal servicing

Mine were both within the 3-year warranty periods (just) and they generate a shipping label for you to print when they accept the 'repair', so you fasten that to the outside of the package and take...

Re: The return of

Their return reminds me of one of their sketches at the collapse of the appallingly corrupt and incompetent Tory administration at the end of the Major era, when they were being torn apart by 'the...

Re: Portugal servicing

I got my 2nd body back on Friday - just a clean & check & replacement of my lost connector cover for this one, which is around 6 months newer than the first and has had quite a lot less use. Again,...

9-18mm m4/3 f/4-5.6 M.Zuiko anyone?

Anyone got a m4/3 9-18 they'd like to unload?

It seems to be the best small wide angle for Infrared use on my converted M10ii.

Prefer black, but silver OK, and some cosmetic body/bayonet...

I suspect thats got more to do with the fading skin elasticity and hardening political leanings of many human beings as they age, Jim :D

Re: Walking boots

Thanks for the tips on Altberg and Meindl Vitalis - I’ve made a note and when the Keens give up the ghost I’ll give them a try.

I have several pairs of Keen hiking and water sports sandals, plus...

Another plug for Open Air from me.

These days I have a pair of light weight, mesh-ventilated glorified trainers for dry, hot climates, and the Meindl version is perfect.

However the last pairs...

Re: Sony Releases new M4/3 sensor fact sheet

Well, it is 47Mp, Paul! The Leica Q2 is the same and only manages 20fps with electronic shutter and 10 with mechanical.

Great news to hear you're seeing again!

That sounds an amazing trip.

Re: Mara River Crossings

Ive done a few game walks, in several SA parks and in Malawi. On none of them have we walked more than a mile or three, but the Pafuri camp specialises in longer ones, and there are some other areas...

Re: Mara River Crossings

Great.
We must get back to the Kruger, too.
I'd fancy spending at least a day or two doing the walking safaris available in the north of the Park - Pafuri is one of the places, I think.

Re: Great Migration, Maasai Mara - introductory post

Sure, Dave, the Wild-Eye GM trip is expensive, but frankly IMHO you'd be wasting your money doing it under your own steam, as I think I'll be able to demonstrate in some later posts.
