Re: E-5 VS E-M5 mark 2 iso test

Pixel mapping - it's a maintenance function; a process to find and hide faulty pixels. These pixels are mapped out permanently.

Dark frame subtraction happens only after long multi-second...

Re: Calibrating monitor(s)

It's important to get display calibration right for lots of reasons - to get faithful looking prints and so that other people with decently calibrated displays can see the true colour of your images....

E-M5 Mark III coming soon

I know a lot of people are keenly waiting for the much-anticipated E-M5 Mark III.

So I have created a board for its anticipated unveiling next week and on FTU I have done the same.

If you have...

Re: Two images

No cropping of No.2 needed for me. The way the path leads you in is perfect for the vertical framing and the canopy above adds real dimension and perspective.

I really can't understand why No.1 is...

I think the focus is out more than there being motion blur. The dog's hind quarters are in focus rather than its head.

Re: Which of these would be of interest?

I've had very agreeable results with the 75-300 @300mm :D I think for the price it's fine.

Re: Which of these would be of interest?

It looks like there is a clear interest in the Oly 300, 7-14 and the Panny 100-400. I'm quite surprised the fisheye is up there too.

Re: Last one for now

I set the export JPEG size limit in Lightroom to 400K but I think this was not enough to avoid some JPEG artifacts, apologies for this!

Re: Two images

I'm out of sync here but I think composition-wise the second (portrait) mode is more appropriate :)

Some tweaking could be done but it's definitely portrait for me.
