I had a 9-18mm, didn't like it at all.
Not sharp enough at the edges and wasn't keen on the feel or operation of it.

Agree with Mike above when he says 12mm is sufficient, another reason I sold...

My daughter spent ages researching laptops with decent screens.

If you don't go like a lunatic you are very unlikely to do any damage.
They clean them in exactly the same way, no other method will clean anything stubborn.
Wipe one way with a correct sized swab...

Get a card reader with a micro usb jack and plug it straight in the tablet and download from the camera memory card
