Re: E-M1X Lightroom & Windows 8.1

Capture One Pro has support for the E-M1X, but not the high res modes. I suppose that's better than nothing.

Re: Mara River Crossings

Mana Pools remains my most favourite National Park. We camped there while paddling canoes down the Zambezi back in the late 1980s and went for a game drive in the back of an old Land Rover before...

Re: Birdsville - Population: Anything between 140 and 9000

Believe me, it was! Or maybe I was just very hungry. The wine wasn't too bad either. Amazing what you can find in the Outback.

Birdsville - Population: Anything between 140 and 9000

In south-western Queensland at the eastern edge of the Simpson Desert is Birdsville. It usually has a population of about 140 people, but this number increases by anything up to around 9000 people...

Re: Betoota - Population: 0

I have a few shots of Birdsville. I'll post them next. I was there the week after the Birdsville Races, when the population goes up by a factor of about 10. It is wall-to-wall 4x4 and SUV together...

Re: Betoota - Population: 0

Thanks. My home is safe for now, but friends of mine live in Peregian Springs on the Sunshine Coast. They were all evacuated, but have now been allowed back into their homes. Some homes were...

Re: Betoota - Population: 0

Thanks Mark. Surprisingly, it wasn't all that hot. There was a (relatively) cool breeze blowing and the temperature was only in the lower 20s Celsius when I was there. It was dry though. My lips...

Re: Gleneagles Station

Nice photos. - I like all the leading lines.

The first photo appears to be a bit underexposed, but the rest appear to be fine when viewed on my iMac. Why not take the photos in raw format as well...

Re: Reflections in the early morning light.

Thanks Mark(s)!

I behaved myself at the wedding. Fortunately there were a couple of "professional" photographers there. - Amateurs with very decent Canon equipment (EOS 5D III & IV and some very...

Reflections in the early morning light.

For the past week, I have been wandering around the Queensland coast as far as Agnes Water, before turning inland towards Barcaldine, where I am to attend a wedding this afternoon (Saturday). On the...

Re: Olympus MMF-3 Micro Four Thirds Adapter

I have both the E-M1 and the E-M1 Mk II, together with two MMF-3 adaptors for my miscellaneous 4/3 lenses. The MMF-3 adaptors work well with both cameras, but noticeably better with the E-M1 Mk II....

Re: Memory Card OM-D E-M1 Mark II suggestions

I am in total agreement with you there. In fact, I am probably worse. I am so paranoid about losing my photos that, apart from the 3x4TB worth of backups at home, I usually take 3x4TB external hard...

Re: Flash advice

I have an old FL-50R which I bought back in 2012 to use with my E-3. It still works beautifully on both the E-M1 and the E-M1 Mk II. If you see one going cheap, get it. You won't be sorry.

Re: v3 Firmware for mk2 - updates for mk2, m1x and lenses

I suppose I should count myself lucky that, although my MacBook Pro has been updated to Mojave, my big 27" iMac, on which I do most of my work while at home, is still running on High Sierra. My V3...
