If you're in S-AF(MF) then you can take photos with whatever focus you select; sharp or fuzzy. Even if you have Rls Priority S, you won't be prevented from taking...

Yes I agree. The Sigma 150 is great for macro and also a superb general purpose telephoto (so long as you don't min autofocus being a bit slow). The image quality on mine is breathtaking, and f/2.8...

I guess the shots above were in very good light then, as they don't seem like high ISO.

You must have very steady hands if you can get sharp shots at 8 seconds! Can't imagine stabilisation would...
