If your problem is that your subjects are long and thin, how about taking several photos and stitching them together into a panorama? There are all sorts of tools available to do this - for Windows...

Re: Olympus items for sale

Normal protocol seems to be to make offers and negotiate by PM. If a for sale thread is busy it might also be helpful to add a forum post like "PM sent re (whatever)".

Yes, it must read the card, but not execute programs from it. I suppose it might be possible to exploit a buffer overflow or something though......

Re: Photo File Numbers

Pretty similar to what I do. I used to specify Adobe RGB colour space but, as Invicta points out above, that imposes some restrictions on what you can rename to. I like having the date as part of the...

Re: EM5ii

David - Ian (Rawcoll) was asking about the E-M5 Mk II recently. I think he may not be too far from you, perhaps you could arrange a mutually beneficial meeting?

***Edit - this is not quite correct, sorry. Please see Invicta's post below this one***

Re: 35-100 v 40-150 pro

All good points - but remember that IS doesn't help if you have to keep the shutter speed up for a moving subject.

Re: Proud new owner...

I like the way you can see how it's made and how it works. Much more interesting than a rectangular grey box that has to be re-programmed if it goes wrong!

Re: Life saving app...

There was a piece abut it on our local TV news recently. One of the air ambulances (Hampshire and Dorset, possibly) were talking about it and how useful they are finding it.

Re: I'm conflicted!

I'm not sure how different the Mark II is from the Mark I in terms of size and weight, but it ought to be possible to find one pretty cheap nowadays. Of course you won't get the newer bells and...

Sorry to hear about that Paul, it can be very upsetting. I hope you don't have too much that you need to sort out. As Lee said, the other stuff can wait.

Re: Slimming down - gauging interest...

I'm not at all interested in the 8mm f/1.8. Definitely. Not at all. But just out of academic interest, what sort of price were you looking for?
