Thumbs up Re: The Dancer Edited

I enjoy seeing "different" images, and I like this one. The space around the subject, isolates the person and adds attention grabbing strength to the overall picture.

Well done.

Re: Take That 1

Nothing wrong with the XZ-2 then. However some bridge cameras now come with 50x zoom and largish sensors (although not quite in 4/3rds territory) and would be allowed in uder the rules so how does...

Re: Take That 2

Super shots - wondered about the camera/lens combination as I looked at them.

Re: Take That 2

That's a well captured set of images Shirley.
Not my musical cup of tea but my daughter-in-law saw them in Glasgow and said they put on a fantastic show

Re: Em5mk2 or em10

Both cameras have more in similarity than they do in difference so its just a matter of degree. The extra function buttons and the 2x2 lever on the E-M5 Mk II could make all the difference for...

Re: Em5mk2 or em10

Bear in mind that unlike Canon,
with Olympus there is no real difference in image quality from the bottom to the top of the range.
There are functional differences but image quality is not one.

Re: Em5mk2 or em10

Yes but with the prices now on em1 bodies either S/H or new they still really out perform the EM10 & EM5 with the exception of 40MP which is actually not yet that useful until they get in down from 2...

Re: Em5mk2 or em10

Re: Em5mk2 or em10

I have both. The EM10 is a cracker and I don't think your friend would be disappointed with it. I use mine without a grip and have no issues using a Panasonic 100-300 with it; I have a third party...

Re: Em5mk2 or em10

The E-M10 is a lovely camera, but it's perhaps a tad small without the grip for someone coming from a Canon? OTOH - the size difference coupled with superb IQ might cause enough cognitive dissonance...

Re: Em5mk2 or em10

The em10 is a great place to start I think -- I loved mine and only upgraded because I got an offer I couldn't refuse
