I have seen plenty of them with white patches amongst their black feathers but I have never seen one with that colouring before. Nice photos OM.

Re: 300mm f4 Pro Tripod ring screws

What is it with Olympus and their inability to fit screws which stay put? They do all the complicated, high tech stuff really well but seem to fall down on the basics rather more often than they...

Re: Common ringed plover

A lovely shot of this delightful little wader Tord. I agree with Duncan's comment above: they just disappear when surrounded by pebbles.

Lovely shots of these little gems Dave. Their range seems to have extended greatly over the past few years.

Very interesting Ross. I am full of admiration for your skills.

Re: More Barn Owls

Many thanks for the kind comment and all the 'likes'.

I wasn't very happy with the processing of these shots, so I have reworked them without pushing the shadows so much. Hopefully they look a bit...

Re: Communal Bird Photography Thread

A Turnstone in summer plumage on Monday. I am used to seeing them in their less showy winter plumage here.
