Re: Camera protection

I use a ski hat / beanie. They are stretchy enough to go round a camera and lens and stop obvious scratches against whatever else is in the bag. May not look very professional though.

Re: 4/3 extension tubes

I have a set of hardly used Kenko extension tubes for micro 4/3 with box. I bought them brand new for around 90 - 100 I think when I first had the Em5i with the kit 12-50mm lens, but now have the...

Re: street / candid photography etiquette - from the other side

I take the points about being on cctv but what I didn't like was the possibility I might end up in a magazine or in a newspaper when I was just crossing a road minding my own business - perhaps...

street / candid photography etiquette - from the other side

So yesterday I was just walking back to the office with my lunch, waiting to cross the road at a pelican crossing. As the green man flashed and I set off to cross, this guy (possibly student) with...

Re: New Firmware

That's nice to have focus stacking on Em5ii. I thought before they told us the camera wasn't capable and now a few years down the line it is?

I appreciate there is always going to be a bit of...

Re: Tips for camera set-up

I found where to set the levels in settings, what i hadn't realised was to cycle through info whilst composing the picture. I think that then stays as that view next time. I guess i'd never had to...

Re: Half Life of digital cameras ?

Going back to the half life of cameras, it's disappointing to see firmware updates for the Olympus range typically just the latest three models, so your camera gets about two years of updates (first...

Re: EM5 with 12-50, 45 f1.8 and grip kit on Amazon for 535 inc

That's not bad when the kit lens and the 45mm are probably 100 each second hand. However I don't think the EM5i has had any significant firmware updates for quite some time.

Also the battery...

Re: Anybody want a cardboard box?

I've a few leftovers from when my OMD-EM5 Mki was stolen. So a Pany 25 f/1.4 box and lens hood, the kit box for the EM5, probably the mini-flash, perhaps a box for the Oly 12 f/2, the official...

Re: What is it with Olympus lens prices?

yes - i managed to get the 60mm macro lens for 275 and then got the Olympus 75 cashback. So only 200. Second hand ones go for more than that.

Re: What is it with Olympus lens prices?

I'd imagine it's to do with the weak pound. Back in May the exchange rate GBP/JPY was around 160, today it's 132. So for Olympus Japan to get the same amount of Yen selling their lens, the GBP...

Re: Anyone any experience with smart device car audio?

Indeed, I used to live at the bottom of The Mount (no DAB signal), now live up in Charlotteville, which is quite a bit higher up.

Re: Anyone any experience with smart device car audio?

I used to live surrounded by hills and my first portable dab player wouldn't pick anything up unless I walked about half a mile away.

I then moved house, now have two DAB radios tuned permanently...

perhaps the drops are in a denser liquid "floating" upside down against the surface, so that when the picture is flipped, it looks like the drops are on the surface, and hence the building image is...
