Tullibardine Chapel

Set just off the A9 near Auchterader (Perth/Kinross), Tullibardine Chapel is one of the few Scottish churches that survived the Reformation of 1560 largely unaltered.

It was built by Sir David...

Re: Panorama Trials and Tribulations (warning very wide images)

Henry, thank you for putting in the time and effort.

These look very good with regards to matching the tones, white balance, and brightness. Much better than I managed manually. The centre...

Re: Proposing a completely new hire offering

Trying to think under what conditions I might hire equipment then I think your main demand would come from people wanting to hire E-M1X, E-M1ii, and possibly (when available) E-M5iii because they...

Re: Panorama Trials and Tribulations (warning very wide images)

Nice panoramas Alf.

Perhaps I was being a bit ambitious with a 6 shot pano and 25% overlap but I rarely do panoramas and have yet to learn its limitations.

Re: Panorama Trials and Tribulations (warning very wide images)

Derek, thank you for the idea.

Duncan, thanks for the tips. When I took these shots I hadn't given much thought as to how to maximise their effectiveness and just assumed the Olypus software...

Re: Clearing RAM app.............

Re: Panorama Trials and Tribulations (warning very wide images)

So my simple pano was just 6 shots. These 6 in fact. The overlap was only about 25% so I had nothing to discard and had to use the middle 50% of each shot. Images 2 and 3 clearly show how turning the...

Re: Panorama Trials and Tribulations (warning very wide images)

Thank you Ian.

I did almost everything wrong you possibly could. It was handheld, I did not turn on the nodal point, I did not set a fixed white balance, and I was using ESP metering. The aperture...

Other than some old "commando" boots (leather, army surplus) that are still going strong 40 years later I (and the family) have opted for boot from Cotswold Outdoors (Cotswold Camping).

I have...

Re: Spittle of Glen Muick

Wow. Stunning images (all of them) but if I had to pick just one (hard, I know) it would be #4 from post 1 but this is just pipped by the image in post 7.

Panorama Trials and Tribulations (warning very wide images)

Snowdonia Panorama:

I was never really happy with the Olympus panorma function. It worked but I did not like the results. It always looked like the end result was "curved" in some way and that...

Re: Portugal servicing

I have found the repair service (12-40mm lens intermitant sticking at 40mm and sounding loose and floppy inside) fast and fair. However I find "fixed" is not an adequate enough description to let me...
