Re: Laowa 7.5mm f2.0

Yes, I agree, harold.

On holiday in Norway, I set the focus at a spot roughly half way between 0.5m and infinity. I did this becuase I read an article that advised this. I had not time to test...

Re: Laowa 7.5mm f2.0

I got one of these recently and am trying to decide if I have a soft copy or if it's just the focussing - and me needing to master the lens.
I read reports online to focus in to a point half way...

Re: Shortage of Prime Utlra Wides

Yes, that looks good if I can find roughly 500.
As for stitching panoramas, I am not going to be taking my tripod as it is a family hol to Norway. I don't know if panoramas are poss or desirable...

Shortage of Prime Utlra Wides

There seems to be few to choose from in M4/3. I have the Samyang fisheye and I still use my 43 9-18mm, which I have not changed to the m43 as I believe that the 43 version is at least as good and...

Re: Four Thirds Equipment

Hi, yes, that is acceptable, thanks. I will email you shortly. I won't be able to send them until later in the week though...possibly Wed, but more likely Thurs or Fri if that's ok.

Re: Four Thirds Equipment

Hi Tim,

I have quite a few. Maybe about 4 or 5 of each.
However, selling them first is a bit like putting the cart before the horse. If i sell them then another person may need them as part...

Four Thirds Equipment

I have a 70-300mm telephoto lens, in excellent condition, including front and rear caps (not the lens hood which is lost).

The lens is scratch, dust and fungus free and in full working order.

Re: About to buy a Pen-F

Ah yes...you appear to be right.
Not a camera that I am familiar with. I started on OM 10s, then went to OM2s.

Re: About to buy a Pen-F

I noticed that there are quite a few Pen F bodies for sale from japan on Ebay at ridiculously low prices...60 or there about.
I have bought old lenses from there in the past, and paid import duties...

Re: Good lightweight, smallish theft-proof camera bag?

Funnily enough, I have actually ordered a pacsafe v6.
I use Crumplers usually...and still will do at home as I like them, but I am going to Barcelona and Lisbon and want to enjoy them whilst feeling...

Re: Good lightweight, smallish theft-proof camera bag?

That's very kind indeed...and it does look like the sort of thing that I am after, though it is maybe slightly too small. I do want small, but maybe half as big again as that.
I'll see if there's...

Good lightweight, smallish theft-proof camera bag?

I will be in a few Mediterranean cities in the summer, which should be fun but I want to protect against pickpockets and theft in general.

I won't be walking around with my heavy kit, but will...

Re: Thumbs up for the 75-300

Yeah, I am seriously considering this lens now.

I have a Pen EP5 with pancake zoom and will probably put my kit 40-150 in my smaller camera bag with that, whilst using this with the 12-40mm on my...

Re: mft 75-300 II, mft 14-42 EZ, mft Samyang 7.5mm

I may be interested in the 75-300mm. It's the mk11 m43 model, right?

I have the 43 model but want to sell it and fancy the new version with the new coating on.

How is the condition?

Re: Zuiko 75-300mm lens

Yes, that's the lens - the 70-300.

With the kit 40-150mm, I find the lens is great up to about 100mm, after which the results are quite soft.

I use it mainly for landscape work and folks have...

Re: Zuiko 75-300mm lens

How long has the mk11 been out?
I have the 4/3 version which is nice - but it's heavy and it does not auto-focus as well as a m4/3 lens.
I would like to have better optics than the kit lens for a...

Re: New lens for landscape work?

Perhaps that is an option.

I wonder whether the 100mm will be enough extra range to justify getting rid of the wonderful 12-40mm.

I need to do some thinking, but IQ is first consideration,...

Re: New lens for landscape work?

Is it ok for hand held shots in good light and if so at what shutter speed, allowing for IS?

I don't want to use a tripod for most shots if I'm on the move.

New lens for landscape work?

I am currently using the following kit:
E M1 mk1 and EP5 with 12-40mm, 9-18mm (43), Samyang fisheye, 70-300 (43) and 40-150 4.0, Sigma 60mm

I take mainly landscapes and find that the 12-40 is...
