Re: Hi from Bedfordshire

Welcome from another one-time Pentax user (a Spotmatic from only 46 years ago), although I came to Olympus via Nikon DSLRs.

I do feel that Olympus missed a trick when they launched their 300mm f/4...

Re: Jensen Interceptor

I never seem to be able to 'do' cross-eye stereo but, once I've swapped the images over, I see the stereo very well! The interior view is excellent in stereo. I remember the earlier Jensen 541 but...

Re: Is the Olympus Camera Menu Complex?

I suggest that the Olympus menus are 'comprehensive' rather than 'complex'. There are so many things that can be adjusted, should you wish to. The difficulty arises because the function you want is...

Re: Tripod pricing error?

I don't know who owns the Rollei name nowadays but I notice this is actually by 'Fotopro'. The Fotopro FPH-420 looks extremely similar and is priced at 89.99 in black on Amazon.

Re: New to Olympus

I made the same change a few years ago. Once you've found the Highlight/Shadow displays in the finder, you'll wonder how you ever managed without them *chr

Re: Opinions on Sony WF-1000X In-Ear Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones

If you really enjoy classical music, I suggest that you have to be prepared to pay! On the other hand, there are often opportunities to find 'not the latest' model being sold for a reasonably low...

Re: C-AF preferring the background

I only tend to turn to C-AF for fast moving subjects like birds in flight. For subjects like Seals (recently photographed in the Scillies)

I prefer S-AF, which is very fast to acquire on the...

Re: panasonic lenses

I use the 100-400 on my E-M1 Mk.ii with no problems other than that, as noted previously, one cannot use Pro-capture L mode.

Re: If Sensor Size Doesn't Matter, Why Buy a Bigger One?

The PF 300 f/4 came out just after I switched to Olympus and, when the Oly 300 f/4 turned out to be much larger and heavier, I wondered if I'd done the right thing!

I wish Olympus would embrace...

Re: If Sensor Size Doesn't Matter, Why Buy a Bigger One?

As Wornish has said, the size and weight of lenses is an important factor, especially for tele-lenses.

There are, however, other factors that can enhance smaller lens designs. Most MFT lenses...

I have an article about stacking with the 60mm on my website at: http://home.btconnect.com/mike.flemming/stacking.html
I must update it for the latest firmware, which now allows more stacking steps.
