Re: High Magnification Flower Parts

Re: Promises (political)

After our tax bill yesterday my wife would probably go along with anything. Might have to hire some allowances, though.

Re: Promises (political)

Re: Only In America

We're a reactionary society with a minority power base that knows its days are numbered. Anything that moves, including armadillos, is suspect.

Re: Only In America

Or under their pillow! Those things are dangerous (not so much the pillow, I mean...). I found an intruder in my house once but couldn't bring myself to hit him with a (cast iron) frying pan, even!...

Re: Cuba 13

Those are beautiful, and maybe a little painful, too: pangs of guilt rather than hunger.

Re: Using Olympus RAW files

I've a similar problem with my epm-2. Even Finder (Mac equiv to Explorer) can't see the files. Apple says upgrade to "Yosemite" and Lightroom says upgrade to 5.x. My solution is to pare out the...

Re: More infrared...

Quite correct, Mike, 'twas the realization as I posted that I'd already fallen into the lone tree rut, so will look for new subjects in the next go-round. :)

Re: For MargaretR

Re: E-500 Macro

A cheap close-up solution with good IQ is to get an ex-25 extension combined with a 40-150 kit lens. You'll get 1:2 magnification (i.e., a 34mm wide subject will fill the frame) at 50mm focal length,...

Re: Hi-Res pictures by sticthing

Hugin is an amazing tool, free, too. I was a slow learner, have barely got past the first stages, but I love how it allows you to define the stitching points, I.e., the bits that must line up...
