  • Flashing red LED on BCM2 charger

    What does this mean...?

I have a battery in the charger, has been there for about an hour and all of a sudden the red LED started flashing. I removed the battery, then replaced it in the charger and the flashing stopped.

Does this mean I have a dead BCM2 charger or Dead battery or just a glitch somewhere?

    Any ideas...?

This has come up before John and several of us are still using batteries that have flashed.

There are a number of theories but so far none seem to have exploded or become unusable.

Thanks Nick. It's not the battery that's flashing, but the LED on the BCM2 charger unit...?

I am charging all 5 of my batteries for my two days down in West Wales with Mike, Susan, John, Teresa, and Richard and I don't want to be up the swanny!!

Pedant - 'that have made the LED on the charger flash'

No. Not a pedant. Clarifying. Simply thought there may have been an LED on the battery.
