Silhouette

From a very cold but bright walk yesterday.

I like the contra-jour effect in this shot, particularly the way it brings the water out against the sky and the way the old-fashioned lamp stands out against the dark panel on the plinth. I wish the authorities hadn't put those silly "Don't go swimming" signs inside the fountains, they're almost impossible to avoid when taking pictures

Well captured *yes

Cheers,

JohnGG

This is a cracking shot, love it :) The lighting on the fountain is excellent.

Was there any spot lights on it? How did you manage to get it lit like this?

I like this, it's an impressive shot. The water is so vibrant and light.

I think it's a good composition too. Did I read somebody else say something about a diagonal going across a picture? If so, you've got one. ;)

Thank you Susan.

It was lit just by a very low sun coming in from the left.
