E-PL2 Focus Point

Please can somebody tell me how to control where the E-PL2 focus point lands. I had trouble yesterday whilst shooting in a crowd getting it to land in the same place twice. Where or where can I find a manual?

Thanks!

You can choose to position a single point in one of the 11 positions, or you can let it choose the focus point automatically. The latter is best in situations where you are photographing people and use face detect mode.

Try pressing the left (west) paddle direction (there is a three dot focus point symbol) and you should see the 11 box AF point layout. If all are lit green you are in all-points auto select mode. To limit to a single point, turn the dial and you should see a single point move along the line of boxes. Each time it reaches the end of the line of boxes all 11 will be selected but move on and it returns to a single point/box. When you have found the point you want to use, click OK and you are done and you should see that point indicated on the live view screen.

Also don't forget you can change the focus point size and move it to anywhere on the screen you want, but I think this is undocumented by Olympus....

Press the 'Magnify'/zoom button, then press the 'Info' key and in the lower left corner you'll see 7x - hit the "Up" or "Exposure" button to change the size of the focus area to 7x, 10x, or 14x. Now press the ok button, and you can scroll the focus point around the screen, as well as having a much more precise focus point.....
