Old bell ringing system for the servants in our backstairs hallway

There are 14 in total covering all rooms including bathrooms (I suppose to ring for more hot water*yes) they all still work which is not good when the grand kids visit

Cheers Iain

Lovely! We've got all the bells from the old system - it was replaced by new-fangled electrics - but no wires. They're just all tucked into a cupboard, waiting to be polished.

Lovely stuff Iain. *chr You folks in Scotland certainly live in some grand establishments. The best I could manage is a shot of my B&Q digital door chimes, which wouldn't have the same impact.

Ron I suspect the B&Q ones are easier to maintain.Stephen has left me feeling bereft of artefacts. I must check the outbuildings tonight and see if we have any old Viking ships hidden away:D
