7 Day Camera bag review

I bought this to see if it would provide a good Courier Bag style system for day use, rather than lugging everything about.

I've concentrated on it's use with the Oly m4/3 system rather than go off on a discussion about the bag itself!

Over view, it seems quite sturdy it is a cloth bag and has pockets and tripod straps as needed...

What fits in it?

I want a bag that I can put a camera and two or three lenses in, and I have the following gear:

OM D E-M1
OM D E-M1ii
12-40 PRO
40-150 f2.8 PRO
300 f4 PRO
MC14
7.5 f2 Laowa
60mm Macro
extension tubes * 2 sets
3 flash guns
Filter set
cleaners and odds and sods This all disappears into a backpack case for storage, but I don't need to lug all of it about all the time...

As can be seen, there's an outer cover with stud fastenings (see picture 1)with a zip down inner cover and then a padded piece to go down over the top of the lenses held closed with velcro...

So as you can see the 300 f4 doesn't fit in with the inner cover being used...

However this folds back and velcros down out of the way allowing the larger lenses in (incl the MC14)

So a body with lens (this is the spare body Mrs Walti uses with a 14-150 fitted) but could be any of the lenses up to the 40-150 f2.8, but NOT the 300 f4 will go into the centre with a lens either side, so it could be the 12-100, 40-150 and 300 if that is what you carry around, or any small lenses and flashes etc...

I bought the same bag a while ago, mainly to see if it would be suitable for use as a ‘personal item’ for aircraft carry-on. Sadly it’s too big for that, so it’s gone into the loft!
Pretty decent and a reasonably well thought out bag for the money though.

It does look like a good bag and very cheap. You have confirmed my thoughts that it is a bit big for what I needed though. Thanks for the review Walti much appreciated.

I bought one last year. The inner flap that covers the three main pockets always seems to get in the way and it is too thick to fold down the back where you can keep a tablet. The large outer flap/cover is OK as long as you don't put anything heavy or bulky in the two pockets. I wish it had side pockets, which would be more useful. It is quite large but excellent VFM even at the 24 I made for it. Have only used it a few times because of the issues above.

I'm looking by for a cheap bag to cart a laptop and other odds and sods. Would this fit the bill?

What is the physical size of the laptop? I will then check what size the compartment is.

Despite all of the bags on offer, I bought an Amazon sling bag, not expensive and really covers my needs....(No need to pay for the brand),*chr

Well, I used it for the first time today, and was very happy with it, weight wise it's fine and I walked a few miles without noticing it, and I took a body, four lenses and a spare battery with me.

OM D E-M1ii
12-40
40-150
300
Laowa 7.5 (it's so small and light it's daft not to carry it around for those wide shots you may want...)

and dropping the 300 + MC14 and body assembly into one of the slots, the case doesn't close properly but its fine for walking between hides and so on..
