Some trees from February
 
Here are a couple of shots from what was mostly a dull morning at Buttermere that got out nicely as I passed Crummock water I did process a shot from the morning went back and found these in the set from the morning

I am trying some square crops too

There had been a workshop round this tree when I arrived and I was happy shooting away from it but took this anyway as I went for a look around

These are both superb shots Alf. I think I'd have preferred a none square crop myself though.

#1 is a real corker, thanks to that burst of sunlight. I love the square crop too.

As said, both a super photos. Personally I prefer the colour in the first.......*chr

#1 for me too.

Was it taken from near the stone wall or a bit further round? We were there in late February, caught that spell of amazing weather but no snow on the hills and quite hazy unfortunately.

I like square crops but Landscape Photography magazine challenge this month is square landscapes and I thought it worked nicely
