You sure it wasn't something bigger than a fox, Mark?

An abominably viscious, carnivorous, expat Troll might also have been responsible, Cathrine ...

One of the reasons why in Oz we don't like foxes - a feral animal.

Was this meant to be posted in Looking for Perfection, if so are you looking for technical feedback on the photo, or was it just meant to share ?

I saw a dead fox yesterday on the Hume Highway Between Albury and Wangaratta - I have also seen the odd live one crossing the highway on various occasions. No foxes in Tasmania as baby fox is one of the Tasmanian Devil's favourite dishes.

It was erroneously titled and intended for PhotoFair but if you wish feel free to do to the picture what the fox did to the sheep.

Well - I like this style of photography - I have to admit.
I've taken lots of photos on this particular subject, if I had the chance - i.e. rotten carcasses of every kind. But unfortunately, they are all on slides - so I can't show them to you. Lucky you, right ;)

One of my all time classics on the subject is:
WEIGELT (1927): Rezente Wirbeltierleichen [Engl.: WEIGELT (1927): Recent Vertebrate Carcasses]
- but that's yet an onther story

Are you sure this was cleaned up by foxes? Or could a dingo, vulture or whatever scavanger there is in Oz, have been involved too?!

Well of course I would have been interested to see any of your grizzly remains pics, Falk!

I don't recall ever having taken any such carcass shot at another time during my 60 years of photography.

Fortunately, no dingoes in Victoria and of course foxes aren't native to Oz, they were imported by landed gentry for the pleasure of carrying on a time honoured English tradition.
