Advice on E-PL6

Awaiting delivery of an immaculate used E-PL6 to be used as a `casual` camera when not using my E-M1 Mark 2. Any thoughts about this camera would be appreciated.

I found it to be a really useful and under-rated workhorse, with it being used as backup to my E-M1 or in its own right for street photography, travel landscapes etc. I tended to use it with the mZuiko 12-40mm Pro lens but as seen in the video link, it was also pressed into service for wild water canoeing action in the rain using a 4/3rds Sigma 70-200mm APO EXII lens!
Control of settings was a little more laborious than the bigger brother's hence use for street & landscape photography, but used with a wriststrap it was an easily held camera for candids etc.

And best of all ... I got it as a twin lens kit in a sale at Curry's as I wanted the wide angle lens for my lad, and 40-150mm R lens as my travel zoom, and in effect got the camera free!
Great camera if used to it best! Have fun.

Re: Advice on E-PL6

I started my u43 career with an E-PL5. I think the E-PL6 is almost identical. I got some great images with it, including this one which is one of my personal favourites. The IBIS isn't much to write home about and it can suffer from shutter shock with some lenses and some shutter speeds, but otherwise it delivers the goods. I only got rid of it because I decided I really needed an EVF and two dials.

Re: Advice on E-PL6

I always enjoyed the small form factor of my EPL5 until the rear screen stopped working after a knock (it will still take pictures but it is just that you can't see them! I suspect the ribbon cable has broken or come adrift somewhere). Coupled with a small prime the package is even smaller than my Pen F. The tilting screen is better that the fully articulated on the Pen F when it comes to street photography IMO.
