Panasonic could have a real winner with this lens. The pricing is very keen. How else do we get a native 400mm on 4/3? The New Oly 300mm is 2200 and you need the TC. The only other option is an adapted lens, e.g. 4/3 lens or Canon lens on Metabones smart adapter, or old manual focus lens. If the performance holds up well at 400mm, it will certainly be high on my shopping list.

Will this work with the MC-14 teleconverter?

I doubt it. The MC-14 has a front element that goes into the back of the 40-150 Pro lens. It looks like the rear element of the Pana 100-400 comes to the back of the mount. I think the TC will not fit on the 100-400 lens.

I very much doubt it as well! I also have the 1.4TC but I am not expecting it to work as it doesn't even work with other mZuiko pro lenses other then the 40-150.

I'm saving already. I'd rather pinned my hopes on the Oly 300 f4 but at a lot less money the Pana 100-400 looks very tempting, as a wildlife photographer that extra reach is too tempting.

That does sound strangely early. Most retailers are saying early March for the arrival of the first stock. Be sure to post some pics when yours arrives.

Park Cameras don't even have this lens on their website.

Re: Panasonic Leica 100-400mm F4-6.3

Well it looks like I jumped the gun a bit early there. I just received a second email from Park with another dispatch confirmation. On looking at the order numbers they aren't actually mine. Just been in touch with Park and it looks like there's been a mistake and the dispatch confirmations should have gone to someone else. They couldn't give a firm date for when the 100-400 will be in stock.

Sorry folks!!
