      Re: Recommended Olympus reading?

In the days of analogue photography the issue was two fold: HOW to photograph and WHAT to photograph. With digital, the HOW is no longer an issue, you just press the shutter release, right?

So the appropriate questions today are WHAT should I photograph and IN WHAT WAY should I express myself to be different from every other Tom, Dick and Harry.

        Re: Recommended Olympus reading?

With the OM-2 you just pressed the shutter release too and you got a properly exposed photo (though not necessarily in focus!). You didn't even need to switch it on - when the mirror flipped up it switched the auto-exposure electronics on whether the meter was switched on or not. The meter was for indication only, the actual exposure was handled by a completely separate circuit. Maitani was a genius .

These days digital cameras are so complex that "how" to photograph is still very relevant in my opinion!

            Hi

This is a video course that covers everything on the EM-1 in great detail plus extras, better still it's only $19 dollars which is a bargain at the price. They also do one for the EM-2 should you decide to upgrade.

            Link for the course

            I hope this helps.
