Chevvy are you trying to import to a session or catalog,in other words how did you open CO, in catalog or session mode?
    Regards Paul.
One day I hope to be the person my dogs think I am.

That had me a little puzzled at first too as I had to install it on a new laptop (after I stuffed up the last one) & I eventually found my way back to how I use it by clicking on something that said 'Browse' (in Session I think), if that would help.

Re: Help with Ccapture ONE P7

Ross tried that - still not seeing raw/orf files

Paul, I used to have one folder for CO7 photos to edit and always imported and saved there - there seem to be updates to how CO7 works - the circle to click and save edits (so far) has gone from the toolbar ... and unable to import other than jpegs

I just want to edit one image and for 3 weeks I have uninstalled and de activated and then downloaded and installed again ... I fear I am at my wits end with CO7 and may just stick with Corel Apps BUT I want to use the local tools in CO7

Any help would be much appreciated - I am on the verge of printing off the darned manual (I really do like manuals I can read off screen and always have to hand to flip through and wish CO7 offered one for sale ! It would be on my Christmas List

I wish I could help more, but I'm now trying to think back to CO7 Pro as I only had that level for a couple of months before I went to CO8 with a generous upgrade price. As I understand it you select 'Import' which opens up a window & in the top left is where the location is. If you click on 'Choose' you then can select that folder. Is that what you are doing? It might be worthwhile re-choosing that folder even though it shows in the list of folders already imported (or viewed for importing individual photos).

I hope it works for you then. By choosing again it may just be like refreshing (f5 in windows) a folder that isn't showing everything that is there.

That's only an example for refreshing the thumbnails in Windows Explore though. I'm not suggesting that for in CO.

EDIT: Please follow Paul's advice as I am only like the blind leading the blind & I am very likely to lead you down a blind alley!

Re: Help with Ccapture ONE P7

My advise is start from scratch, go to your pictures folder and delete any CO session or catalog folders you find.

Next open up CO and choose Session when it asks (not Catalog) then go to the library tab and go to system folders and navigate to a folder you know contains Raw images click on it and see if they start to load.

By the way I would not save my edits (jpeg) in the same folder as that is asking for complications, set your output to a different folder

                        Regards Paul.

Ok thanks all for your help ESPECIALLY OlyPaul - HUGE hugs - it works now, but still only "sees" jpegs in folders so I have sent a support email ? awaiting a reply

it seems WEIRD ! ... and most likely something really simple ... like an input/capture Format setting for ORF/RAW ? but I cannot find that in the manual (I ate the manual for Sunday lunch - every darned page of it )
