So we'll be at the mine 10:30 to 10:45 ... one of us on the tour and the other with Richard wandering about picking up leady rocks, sounds good.

                All,

The weather looks appalling tomorrow, but the mine trip is 'indoors', so to speak. I'm up for going, but I'm aware that some would be travelling quite a distance more than me and I want to check that those who booked to do the tour still intend to turn up. I had one cancellation a while back, nothing to do with the weather, but we still have 5 at 8 a head to meet their minimum of 40.

Personally speaking, a grim weather day at Nenthead is a bit of a photographic challenge - any idiot can take pretty shots of the Amalfi coast in the sunshine!

Re: How about another NE England meet?

Yep I'm definitely still going ... Or else Ralph will be very annoyed with me!!
I've just got back from a walking group visit to Frosterley which we luckily managed to finish (in the wonderful Black Bull) just as the weather worsened. But most of the walk was dry but cool with a moderate wind.
I'm hoping that we could get good dramatic cloudscapes and it would be great if an occasional light shaft can break through, but late afternoon on the moors was low cloud. It looks like we could have the tail end of rain in the morning but a better afternoon.
Although the cloud was fairly thick today, the E-M1's Dramatic Art Filter was ideal for adding real drama to the photos, so that may be my initial setting tomorrow!!
Looking forward to catching up with you all tomorrow, I'll see Ralph in Hexham and then hopefully Chatterbox cafe or Nenthead for the rest of you
                        Regards Chris

We are coming, whatever the weather.
This here e-pL7 is designed for taking pics of cats in coalmines so I'm sorted.
