  • March Monthly Challenge: Bridges (time restricted)

To enter simply post your picture in this thread between now and Saturday 31st March 2018. There will then be a two week voting period during which all members (not just those who have entered the competition) will be encouraged to vote for their favourite by using the 'Like' button. 1st, 2nd & 3rd places will be allocated and these will ultimately count towards the title of E-System User Photographer of the Year. However, do bear in mind that each monthly round is a separate competition in its own right and you can enter as many or as few rounds as you wish.

Add a LIKE vote when you decide you have seen the best photograph. Voting begins on April 1st

We'll try to keep the rules simple, but we must have a few:-

    1) Enter one picture only

    2) All entries must have been taken on an Olympus E-System body (Four Thirds or Micro Four Thirds), a non-Olympus body but using an Olympus Zuiko E-System lens or an Olympus digital compact such as the XZ-1.

    3) One vote per member, please. You do not need to enter the competition in order to vote.

    4) If you vote for more than one picture none of your votes will count. But you will be asked to remove any Likes other than your first choice.

    5) You can change your mind at any time during the voting period simply by removing your original like before allocating it to your new choice.

    6) This month is time restricted. That means photos should be taken during the month of March 2018. Exif must be available.

I think I have covered everything but please do let me know if I have missed anything.

Now, let's see lots of entries and good luck to all those who participate!

Re: March Monthly Challenge: Bridges (time restricted)

Went out in the snow this morning before the big melt and thought that the old Tramway Bridge in Stratford would make a good subject for this month's comp. This is a 2s shot handheld on the E-M1ii. It's pretty damned sharp which is amazing given that I was shivering a bit!

And a little note about time-restricted entries - I deliberately went out this morning to get a shot of a bridge for the comp. It did me good to get out in the fresh air and I came back with a few images I'm fairly satisfied with. So there you go - sometimes a little nudge is a good thing!

Sorry for not spotting the "Time Restriction" - I have tidied this thread to put it back on course...

Graham you might want to delete my non-entry diptych, a) it was taken with a Pen F Half Frame and b) it was not taken this month.
I posted in a light hearted manner in response to John Zuiko's banter.

Went out on to Dartmoor this morning (before it poured with rain) to take this photo.

As I actually have a picture which is vaguely relevant and is in the time period I thought I would share it ...
