IR Holy Island Lindisfarne

Well to put it mildly, it has been a while since I posted any pics for far too many reasons to bore you all with. At very short notice I found myself on holiday in Northumberland in June and thankfully I had my beloved IR converted E-1 with me.

Here are some pics which I have processed in different ways just for fun.

As many of you will know the old herring fishing boats are used as sheds, they were fun subjects.











As we walked back to the car park I could not resist this view





The weather was far from ideal for IR work but it surprised me how they turned out.

These are ALL EXCEPTIONAL images - It is very difficult to choose a favourite - the l;ast looks as if snow is on the ground ... and WoW those black faced and black legged sheep make this image TRULY AMAZING !

A real joy to view, many times !

That last one of the castle is a bit special. nI've seen scores of pics of that castle, that's one of the very best.

Well thanks for all the very kind comments which are very encouraging and much appreciated.

Pete, you really would have a lot of fun with your E-1 should you ever get it converted. I have to be honest as I am just in the process of acquiring a IR converted E-450. I love the fun you can have shooting IR. I got my IR E-1 when I traded it for a lens, turned out to be the best trade I have ever made.

Garrie, funny you should mention getting one printed on canvas as my wife has asked me to get one printed on canvas as a present for her brother. Shame I have no idea of a good company to use!

A very differant feel to them- 1 7 5 tick the box for me.Are you aware there are some very special orchids on Holy Island which may be about round now?
