  • Bearded reedlings revisited

I revisited the same location this morning with full focus(!) on the Bearded reedlings hoping to see them again and during the two hour session, I had several observations of a flock with at least ten individuals of which a few were cooperative and posed nicely for a short moment within acceptable shooting distance before vanishing into the depths of the reed bed. The light was nice and smooth, slightly overcast however it was rather windy and difficult to aim and focus on the swaying birds. I took these photos with the Zuiko 300 F/2.8 + EC20. As we all know the EM-1 does not shine when using CAF on 4/3 lenses hence I shot bursts in S-AF High, hoping some would come out OK, which I think they did.

    Thanks for looking,
    Tord

They look great to me Tord, really clear and clean. Lovely little birds.

Excellent shots as ever Tord. I think we call them bearded tits, or the corbyn bird.

Beaded reedlings, or bearded tits due to the similarity with the Long-tailed tit. Either works.
