Yesteryear's Wheels.

[Ross the fiddler]

After my first steam train photos for the day (four more train trips followed that day) I came back through town (Springwood) & noticed this vintage car parked & thankfully there was a spot opposite that I could slip into with my car. I quickly grabbed my camera that had the 40-150 Pro lens on & started taking photos as I could see he was getting ready to drive off.

I thanked him & he replied that he was coming back (back up the street from turning around at the roundabout), but I was a bit slow to what he meant & got back into my car ready to move off when I realised he was passing me, so I followed (slowly) until he waived me on & so I raced ahead up the highway to Faulconbridge shops, parked & swapped lenses to the 12-40 so I could get closer, wider shots as he passed, with this result.

Lovely set Ross.
Unfortunately the operator of my camera has the same intermittent fault as yours. Completely lost me the shot of a Viking screaming in my face on Saturday

I wouldn't disable the function, even though I have my AF+MF set in Menu. I still want that full MF function but if I miss more like that, then maybe I might rethink.

I call them 'senior moments', like I had intended to go & visit Spec-Savers for a check up, but somehow I looked up OPSM & they happened to be in Katoomba too. It wasn't till my wife asked why I went there did I realise that I really did have a 'senior moment'.

Thanks Harold. There's a photographer on the Blue Mountains that frequently shows his blurry photos (not that I like them), so I couldn't waste the last one either.

Oh well, it happens to us all. At least you had already got some pictures of the car in the bag!

Nah. I already have photos of a Rolls Royce. Four in fact.





I took these photos in Broken Hill during our visit to our daughter (& new grandson) back in 2012 at Pro Hart's Gallery. No ghostly images since they weren't going anywhere, but just one Silver Ghost.
