  • Some colour on the streets of Edinburgh

Nearly all the street shot I have taken since I started in this genre 6 weeks or so ago have been mono. I felt a bit more colourful tonight. So glad the Edinburgh Festival is finished and you can isolate subjects more easily. I concentrated on a small section at the foot of the Royal Mile traversing through the closes and exploring to see what colour and lines were to be seen.

Very colourful hotel, and like the lady doing the dumb walk with her mobile...

    What is an Aparthotel?

A building with many apartments which can be booked like a hotel.

Great set, I love the woman with the blue coat trying to blend in with the building behind her.

Could I make a request though - please could you post them a little smaller? They fit on my screen (1920 x 1080) horizontally, but some are too tall to see all at once. Because they are embedded in a web page they don't automagically resize to fit.

          Ciao ... John

To fit my screen I'd suggest max height about 800 pixels. I don't know how that would relate to tablets, phones etc., sorry.

I have resized. Is that any better.

Huge improvement, for me at least - many thanks. Now I can see the dynamic composition of the Aparthotel photos with the leading yellow lines - having to scroll up & down meant I missed the impact.

                  Thanks ... John

thanks. The Oly is fantastic for this type of shot. The light weight, is and flippy screen along with sharp primes with nice short min focus distances. I would probably have walked past if I had my D850.
