White-tailed Eagle

A recent trip to the Isle of Mull gave my wife and I some great opportunities to photograph the wildlife there, amongst which were the White-tailed Eagles.

I’ve been told that these White-tailed Eagles are the fourth largest Eagle in the world, they are fantastic to see let alone photograph.

Terrific photos Dave - you're going to get buried with compliments!

I guess that they were taken with an EM-1 Mk2 with a 300mm.

I understand that they were all over the U.K. at one time - including the Isle of Wight.

I was quite happy with them as these are mine, all mine.

Mrs G ( or Anita as I call her), was very pleased with her images also, she certainly keeps me on my toes.

My images were taken with the E-M1 II and the 300mm.

Anita's images were taken with her E-M1 II and Panasonic 100-400mm, she tried her 300mm however, she preferred to have the zoom option.

The Eagles were fed if they came to the boat, no fish were thrown to bring the birds in.

Sometimes the Eagles came to the boat and showed no interest in taking fish, they simply flew over and/or around the boat.

If you ever have the opportunity to visit Mull, pre book a wildlife trip with Mull Charters on their boat Lady Jayne, the trip is well worth it.
